Damon Brink has been involved in the development and commercialization of new technologies and materials for over ten years. Dr. Brink is presently Chief Technologist at Intri-Plex Technologies where he focuses on intellectual property and product development within the Data Storage and Biomedial Device industries. Prior to his current position, he served as Director of Materials at LaunchPoint Technologies working with structural nanomaterials and biomedical device development. Dr. Brink also served as Chief Science & Technology Officer and Board Member at Interface Sciences Corporation, where he focused on surface modification of nanostructured particles and reinforcements, development of functionalized coatings for composites and biomedical applications, and the use of novel supercritical fluid techniques to facilitate molecular self-assembly on a variety of substrates. Prior to nanotech, he worked in the Data Storage and Thermal Management industries as a Senior Research and Development Scientist and Engineering Manager. Damon Brink holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and a BSE in both Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan. Dr. Brink has authored six publications on the subject of composites and interfaces, has given numerous presentations at international conferences, and holds fourteen pending and granted US patents in various areas of technology.
