President, Let's Cram, Inc.
In 2003, Patrick cofounded Sirigen, Inc., a molecular diagnostics company with unique materials, which amplify light signals for detecting DNA and proteins associated with diseases thereby enabling sensitive, rapid, and portable testing. He served as Sirigen's President from 2003 – '06 in which he built the management team and board of directors, arranged all of the company's key agreements including its inception, its initial funding, and the exclusive licensing agreement with the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) to its core technology (associated with Nobel Laureate Alan J. Heeger). In 1996, Patrick started CyberUniverse, Inc., an early web development company in Chicago, which provided service to nearly 30 clients. Other early endeavors included FinanceQuest.com, Inc. (an online financial management tool) as well as The Investor's Website and Biko's Interactive Tour (popular websites in 1996). Patrick received the James Watt Award for extolling technology and utilizing it with expertise. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Engineering Management from UCSB where he served as the President of the Student Entrepreneurs Association and won the University's Business Plan Competition. In 2002, Patrick was selected by Princeton University as a Business Today scholar. His companies have been featured in numerous publications including Popular Science, Santa Barbara Magazine, Santa Barbara News Press, Santa Barbara Independent, Business Week, USA Today, The Doings, The Chicago Tribune, and the Pacific Coast Business Times. To date Patrick is a business advisor to eMBe Group, Inc. and is currently President of Let's Cram, Inc., the social homeworking network founded by Santa Barbara High School Student Mike Lewis.
