CEO, Idea Engineering
Simon founded Rock-it! Media in Washington, DC in 1991 to specialize in
promotional advertising and media brokering. He has structured
transactions across the US and internationally including China, Japan,
Malaysia and the UK. Clients have included General Motors, American
Airlines, the Washington Wizards and Capitals, Clear Channel
Communications, and CBS.
In 2006 Simon merged his company with Idea Engineering to combine the
best of branding and marketing with the best of media and promotion.
Idea Engineering takes companies & products all the way from naming
through branding, launch and marketing, or creates brand magic with an
existing product. IE launched GoToMyPC and does extensive work in the
tech, travel, health-care, real-estate and automotive fields, as well as
developed something of a specialty in giving start-ups the shine they
need to look viable and desirable.
Among his many other endeavors, Simon currently serves on the Executive
Corporate Fundraising Committee of the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer
Center in Washington, DC, and the Board of Directors of Women's Economic
Ventures in Santa Barbara, CA.
