Computer Software Designer
Kerry Schwartz had a twenty-year career in computer software design
and
development, starting on mainframes and later migrating to personal
computers. This career included working for leading-edge
corporations, small
consulting firms and working as an independent consultant and software
designer. As an employee of Microsoft, Kerry was key in initiating
Microsoft's efforts in Internet Server software. He was a designer of
Microsoft's first Web-Server software (Internet Information Server),
Web
Security software (Microsoft Proxy Server) and related Internet
components.
Other positions that Kerry held include teaching classes to software
developers on how to develop applications in the C and C++ programming
languages taking advantage of the underlying system architecture of
the
Windows operating system. He previously taught classes on how to use
specialized processors to establish data communications between
similar and
dissimilar mainframes.
Near the end of his software career, Kerry transferred to Italy where
he
worked with businesses developing computerized database and networking
systems. He spent 4 years in Italy and France.
Kerry now owns an audio/video business that offers the services of
designing
and building home theaters, media rooms and distributed audio/video
systems.
He does training and consulting on the latest audio, video,
home-automation
and related technologies.
