Senior Software Engineer, Savings.com
Kip has had a rewarding and successful career specializing in both engineering of enterprise grade software applications and developing online marketing ventures. From 1999 to present, Kip has lived in Santa Barbara and participated in a handful of local start-ups.
Kip graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cal Poly, SLO in 1998 with a B.S in Electrical Engineering. After a short stint as an analog electronics designer for Northrup Grumman, he shifted focus to software and took a position with Santa Barbara success story Commission Junction. Kip helped to build Commission Junction from a small start-up to a highly profitable division of publicly owned ValueClick (VCLK).
In 2004 Kip left Commission Junction to co-found Ascendim, Inc, an online marketing company specializing in Search Engine Optimization and online retail where he served as Chief Technology Officer. He then worked as an independent consultant to various corporate clients such as Estalea, Valueclick, and Citrix Online. In early 2008 Kip took on a permanent role with Savings.com, a young company specializing in helping consumers find the best deals available online.
Kip believes success is achieved through developing strong personal relationships and helping other people to reach their goals. He is honored and excited to be part of the Technology mentor program.
