Entrepreneur
Peter has been an entrepreneur since the early 1980's. In 1996 he founded coolmaps.com, a company that exists today providing map-based business locators on the Internet. Coolmaps also developed and marketed plug-in components for web design and hosted an active online community for web developers who used these components. In 2003, Peter started the Edhat Online Magazine, a local source of news, information, and entertainment in Santa Barbara. Edhat is on the forefront of developing new methods of journalism and news delivery, and the business models that support them.
Peter has been awarded three US Patents on User Interface design. One of those patents, Clustering User Interface, is the basis behind the Grouping Taskbar that was introduced in Microsoft XP. A UCSB alum, Peter has a M.A. in Statistics and earned a B.A. in Math while attending UCSD.
