Dr. Geoff Slaff is currently Vice President, Global Process Development, at Amgen, Inc., Thousand Oaks, CA., a position he has held for the last six years. Dr. Slaff was previously Amgen’s Director of Capital Projects and Director of Microbial Manufacturing.
Prior to joining Amgen, Dr. Slaff was Executive R&D Director, Manufacturing Process Development, Ares Serono in Switzerland; Vice President, Manufacturing and Process Engineering of Synergen, Inc., Boulder, CO; Chemical Engineer, Center for Chemical Engineering, National Bureau of Standards, Boulder, CO; and Senior Scientist, Bioisolation Process Development Group, Schering Corp., Union, New Jersey.
Dr. Slaff holds a B.A. degree in Chemistry with a Biochemistry Concentrate from the University of Calif., San Diego; M.S.E. and a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
