Venture Partner, Great Pacific Capital
Jason Spievak is the co-founder and CEO of RingRevenue, a telephony software platform
designed for the pay-for-performance advertising market. Prior to RingRevenue, Jason
was a director and Chief Financial Officer at CallWave, Inc., (NASDAQ: CALL) a
voice-over-internet software and service provider based in Santa Barbara, California.
Jason led CallWave’s successful IPO in 2004 and was a key member of the senior team
that brought the company to 12 consecutive quarters of revenue growth, GAAP
profitability and positive cash flows with more than 750,000 paid subscribers.
Prior to CallWave, Jason was a Vice President in the technology mergers and acquisitions
group in Broadview International's (NYSE: JEF) Silicon Valley office, where he
specialized in enterprise software, network infrastructure and internet services
transactions. While at Broadview, Jason led or was directly involved with successful
M&A transactions and private placements representing over $1.25 billion in aggregate
consideration. Before joining Broadview, Jason held product management roles with
Netopia (NASDAQ: NTPA), a developer of Internet/Intranet communications products
where he helped the company complete its successful IPO in 1996, and also with Nextel
Communications' (NASDAQ: NXTL) wireless data division.
As a board member, Jason has contributed to the development of several early stage
technology companies. He is currently a member of the boards of directors of Casabi,
Inc., Celerus Diagnostics, KnowledgePlex, Inc., and RingRevenue. He is also a member
of the board of directors of the UCSB Economic Forecast Project, and he is a venture
partner and co-founding general partner of Great Pacific Capital, an investment fund
focused on early stage technology and the life sciences.
Jason earned his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at
Northwestern University and his BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
He lives in Santa Barbara, California with his wife and three children.
