A corporate/securities lawyer specializing in the representation of growth companies financed by venture capital investors, Dana Warren acts as outside general counsel to his clients, advising them on a wide range of legal and strategic business issues at each stage of their development. Dana has been involved in the public and private issuance of debt and equity securities; acquisitions representing both buyers and sellers; capital restructuring transactions; management and employee incentive programs; and the legal issues arising from the development, manufacture, and distribution of a wide range of products primarily from the arenas of information technology, internet infrastructure, and telecommunications. Dana was an associate and principal at Riordan & McKinzie for over twenty years, and following that firm's merger with Bingham McCutchen in 2003, was a partner at the surviving firm until March, 2006, when he set up his own practice. He has been listed annually in The Best Lawyers in America since 2006. Effective July, 2008, he will become the Visiting Distinguished Practitioner in Residence and Co-Director of the Business Law Practicum at Loyola Law School. Dana received his law degree from Stanford Law School and after graduation was a law clerk to Judge Procter R. Hug, of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration - Finance from Montana State University.
