Nick Whelan is the president and CEO of Agile RF, a Santa Barbara based company that uses novel material technology to design and fabricate tunable integrated components which have a wide range of applications in wireless communications.
With over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Whelan is an expert in identifying emerging technologies and products for use in the deployment of telecommunications services. He is passionate about successfully guiding startups businesses and raising funds with a range of venture communities.
Mr. Whelan received his Honours Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Limerick in Ireland. He was the executive vice president of Osicom Technologies, a publicly-traded manufacturer of LAN/WAN and optical broadband communications equipment. Before his executive role at Agile RF, he served as a board member for the Occam Technologies which manufactured broadband loop carrier (BLC) platforms for Telco central office (CO).
