| Internships for GPMP Students |
Mission: The internship should be considered as a capstone, which applies most of the skills gained from the GPMP courses. It should stretch your managerial skills beyond what you currently know and have experienced. The internship can take place anytime of year and at either a technical or non-technical company. Students can not apply an internship to the GPMP certificate unless they have completed the 4 core courses of the program.
Criteria: The internship should-
1. Enhance the student’s understanding of the managerial skills that they studied within GPMP.
2. Avoid use of skills that have been gained outside of GPMP.
3. Avoid a company that the student has been employed by in the past or is currently employed by.
4. Avoid work similar in nature to what the student has done in the past.
