Competition Guidelines

The objectives of the competition are:

• Educate and support students in all aspects of new technology venture creation
• Encourage commercialization of promising ideas
• Foster increased participation in Tech Management on campus and within the tri-county business and entrepreneurial community

All UCSB undergraduate and graduate students who will be registered in Spring 2008 are eligible to compete individually or in teams of up to five students. Participants may seek advice from any source, but the teams must put the plan together and be prepared to define and defend the business and business model. Plans should be based on a technology product/business.
