| New Venture Competition Finals: Tuesday May 13, 4:00pm - 7:00pm |
Technology Management Program's 9th Annual New Venture Competition gives you a great opportunity to develop your business skills, to increase your network of business contacts and mentors, to work with students from all over campus, to sharpen your creativity, to get real-world resume-building experience, and to have a chance to win big money and great visibility!
All currently registered UCSB undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to compete individually or in teams of up to five students.
At the Finals, teams who have survived rigorous preliminary rounds make 10-minute formal “pitches” to a panel of judges. Winners are decided and prizes given at the presentation.

Technology Management Program is offering 4 great classes to help stimulate and fulfill your entrepreneurial and managerial interests.
We have a fabulous new course in management and leadership, particularly managing technologists and leading technology organizations — ENGR191/291C.
There's a new class for those who aren’t finance experts but want to know enough to be able to understand some basic business concepts and essential practical finance skills — ENGR191/291B.
We're offering TWO innovative courses on developing and vetting new business ideas — ENGR191/291D is taught by a venture capitalist and will focus on how to recognize business opportunities, and ENGR191/291F is being taught by an expert in developing new products in the health care industry and is focused on identifying new opportunities working with Cottage Hospital and local health care experts. Both of these are great ways to develop new business ideas for the New Venture Competition or develop you entrepreneurial knowledge and skills.
Congratulations to Last Year's Winners! |
