An amazing Gaucho Alum, former Soros Fellow, multiple Academic & Leadership Award winner shares insights on Bootstrapping his new venture in the digital advertising domain.
Arpit Malaviya is founder of ProDIGIQ. Before starting ProDIGIQ, Arpit worked at Boston Consulting Group and a technology start-up in the Bay Area. Mr. Malaviya holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from UCSB with highest honors. Arpit is a Soros Fellow and was inducted into the Academy of Achievement in 2004. In addition, Arpit has won the NSF Graduate Fellowship, UC Berkeley Chancellor's Fellowship, Tau Beta Pi Graduate Fellowship, Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and the University of California Regents Scholarship. He was also awarded the Summer Undergrad Research Fellowship by Caltech and his research on solid-acid fuel cells was the feature article in California Engineer.
Arpit is passionate about education. He was co-author of a report on State of Public Education in New Orleans. He currently serves on the Executive Board of ASSET Foundation, a nonprofit organization with the goal of using technology and education to improve the lives of underprivileged children.
Arpit will provide details of the exciting opportunity ProDIGIQ is creating in the out-of-home digital media space. He will also share his insights on bootstrapping a start-up. And finally, he will talk about his experiences and lessons learned as an entrepreneur.

Kilpatrick then joined Jel Productions in Sacramento where he worked as part of the team that designed Saturn Automobiles' Flash website. He worked directly on the corporate sites of Blue Diamond Almonds, DuraFlame and PositiveWords.com, and produced CD-Rom Packaging. Being creative, innovative and solving problems makes me happy. Ian is a husband, father of three, a musician and designer. Today, Kilpatrick directs the creative design team at KilMil .

Ted Jenkins started his career at Fairchild Semiconductor Research and Development Laboratories as a process engineer in 1966. In 1968, he moved to Intel, where he held a variety of positions in wafer fabrication, ultimately leading that organization. He was appointed vice president and general manager of the memory components division in 1986. In 1990, Jenkins was named vice president and director of corporate licensing, and in 1996 was also appointed chairman of Intel's government affairs committee.
Mr. Jenkins is past chairman of the board of the California Manufacturers and Technology Association and a current member of the board of directors of Skyler Technology, Inc., a software start-up company. He has also served on the boards of the Information Technology Industry Council and the American Electronics Association. A Caltech alumnus (BS '65, MS '66), Jenkins was president of the Alumni Association from 2001 to 2002, and president of the Associates, a Caltech support organization in 2004-05. He was elected to CalTech's Board of Trustees in 2005.

Prior to joining Celladon, she was a Venture Partner at Enterprise Partners Venture Capital, and held executive positions at Remedyne Corporation, Connetics, ALZA, Cell Genesys, and Amgen.
At ALZA Corporation Dr. Zsebo was responsible for the division which developed and filed the NDA for Viadur, an implantable drug/device for prostate cancer patients now marketed by Bayer Corporation. At Cell Genesys, where she was Executive Vice President of Research and Product Development, she was responsible for filing their first IND for a gene therapy product for AIDS. Barbara is passionate about technology and the role it plays in the enterprise and consumer marketplace. She has led or been a member of teams introducing new lithographic materials for semiconductor manufacturing, the flat panel TFT LCD technology utilized in IBM's ThinkPad product line, numerous data processing printer products, and data storage tape and hard disk drives and storage subsystems. Barbara shares her hands-on experience with portfolio companies to help guide them during the crucial phases of mapping out product requirements, product and production launch, and customer adoption.
Barbara's current board memberships include Agoura Technologies, Integrated Materials, Xponent Photonics and Triformix. She is a member of the Research Advisory Board and The Board of Visitors for the University of California, Davis, as well as a member of the SARTA Board of Directors.
In her spare time, you will find Barbara on the golf course or walking her Black Lab Annie.
Barbara holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Arizona State University and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Stanford University.

Ann has over 25 years of experience in the software industry. She began her career as a systems programmer at the Federal Reserve Bank. In 1976 Ann co-founded Open Systems, Inc., a top selling accounting software company, with a $500 investment. She operated Open Systems profitably for six years and then sold it for over $15 million. Prior to co-founding Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, Ann served as a strategy consultant for prestigious clients such as IBM, Microsoft, Price Waterhouse, and numerous start-ups. Ann received a BA in mathematics and in business administration, as well as an MA in education and international economics from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota.
