The New Venture Fair (NVF) is a part of the UC Santa Barbara New Venture Competition (NVC), in which student teams compete to develop innovative start-up business plans. The NVF is a dynamic and exciting evening where the community gets its first look at UC Santa Barbara's exceptional student entrepreneurs. During this event attendees will have the opportunity to evaluate and vote for their favorite teams.
The Fair will highlight business ideas of 20 student teams in a tradeshow-like event, complete with product demonstrations and poster board presentations. The following teams are moving on to the Fair: Allthenticate; AntTrapper; BranchOut; Campus Calendar; Carma; Collatera; Cryptix; Dealio; Delta Leaf Labs; DiveSB; Elsebound; Fluidic Solutions; Fresh Picked; Organic Matters; Orisun; Orzana; PhantaField; Rewarded; Sunset Power Solutions; Wanderlease.
We will begin the evening promptly at 5:30 PM. At that time attendees will be given evaluation sheets, and invited into Corwin Pavilion, where each student team will have a display booth. You will be asked to circulate through the booths, learn more about each business, and tell us which of them you like the most. During the fair we hope that you will join us and other New Venture Fair attendees for refreshments and networking outside on the Lagoon Plaza.
